In honour of Valentine's Day, we've put together a spirited list of a dozen cocktail roses to help you and that special someone enjoy the most romantic day of the year.

1. TEXAS ROSE
Ingredients:
2 oz orange juice
1 oz crème de banane
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz rum
Mixing instructions:
In a highball glass, stir the ingredients together with a spoon and add ice.

2. THE ROSE-A-RITA
Ingredients:
4 oz sweet-and-sour mix
1 oz Alize Rose
1 oz white tequila
Mixing instructions:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Alize Rose, tequila, and sweet-and-sour mix (or frozen concentrated limeade). Shake (or blend) and strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
3. BOURBON ROSE No. 1
Ingredients:
4 oz orange juice
1-1/2 oz bourbon
1 oz triple sec
Grendaine
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients, except grenadine, with cracked ice in a shaker or blender and pour into a chilled highball glass. Float some grenadine on top.

4. PINK ROSE
Ingredients:
Several dashes grenadine
1-1/2 oz gin
1 egg white
1 tsp heavy cream
1 tsp lemon juice
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients with cracked ice in a shaker or blender and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
5. GINGER ROSE MARTINI
Ingredients:
2 oz Alizé Rose
Splash ginger ale
Ice
Mixing instructions:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Alizé Rose. Shake until well chilled and strain into a martini glass. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice.

6. ROSE HALL
Ingredients:
1/2 oz crème de banane
1 oz dark rum
1 tsp lime juice
1 oz orange juice
Lime slice
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients, except lime slice, with cracked ice in a shaker or blender, pour into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with lime slice.
7. WHITE ROSE
Ingredients:
3/4 oz maraschino liqueur
2 oz orange juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1-1/2 oz gin
1 egg white (for two drinks)
1 tsp sugar syrup
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients with cracked ice in a shaker or blender and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
8. RUSSIAN ROSE
Ingredients:
1/2 oz grenadine
1-1/2 oz vodka
Dash orange bitters
Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients with cracked ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
