Chocolate Cocktails for Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day, say "I love you" with one of our delicious chocolate drinks.

Nothing says love and romance like the sweet embrace of chocolate, itself the delicious love child of the cocoa bean. So set the mood music to steamy, light a few candles for just the right ambience and sit down to an unforgettable evening of sensual romance accompanied by a scrumptious chocolate cocktail.

1. BAILEY'S CHOCOLATE CHERRY

Ingredients:
1/2 oz coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua)
1/2 oz grenadine (red)
1/2 oz Irish cream

Mixing instructions:
Begin with a layer of red grenadine, slip on a layer of Kahlua and top with a tasty layer of Irish cream liqueur.

2. CHOCOLATE MARTINI

Ingredients:
1/2 oz white crème de cacao
1-1/2 oz vodka
Orange wedge

Mixing instructions:
Mix vodka and crème de cacao over ice in a shaker. Strain into a martini or cocktail glass and garnish with an orange wedge or slice.

3. CHOCOLATE ALMOND KISS

Ingredients:
2 scoops chocolate ice cream
1/2 oz Frangelico
1-1/2 oz vodka
1 oz dark crème de cacao

Mixing instructions:
Blend all ingredients together and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles or better yet, a Hershey's Kiss. This recipe will make two drinks.

4. HOT MINT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients:
5 to 6 oz. hot chocolate
1 oz peppermint schnapps

Mixing instructions:
Pour peppermint schnapps into a heatproof mug or glass. Fill with hot chocolate and stir.

Option: Garnish with a candy cane or rim the mug or glass with crushed candy cane.

5. CHOCOLATE AFFAIR

Ingredients:
1/2 oz amaretto
1/2 oz coffee liqueur
1/2 oz cognac
1/2 oz heavy cream (double)
1 oz chocolate liqueur

Mixing instructions:
Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Option: Garnish with a thin chocolate stick.
